Chapter 1901: Chapter 1893: His Fate

Reinvigorated by Su Mei’s presence and a lengthy conversation, Wei Wuyin couldn’t disagree with her that his personal rate of growth created the necessity for Bai Lin’s rapid growth. As such, he could only consider ways to shorten Bai Lin’s Nirvanic Rebirths, allowing her to stand beside him as a proper partner. Their union might be the answer.

Setting this as an objective for his Second Mind to further contemplate, Wei Wuyin internally decided it was about time to find Yue Songli. She had been seeking advice from Cao Cuifen and Liu Suyin, investing time and energy to deepen her knowledge for their inevitable union. However, after the Incinerated Dominion was triggered to detonate by Su Yi’s machinations, he was unable to disregard the event.

Fortunately, he hadn’t done so. If he had, he would have sealed them off from the world, and not only would he have lost the chance to create the Eye of Samsara through spontaneous inspiration from observing Su Yi fight his heart out for revenge, but he would have also lost the opportunity to intimately inspect a true Resonant Soul Realm Microheaven Envoy, and the boost of 87,475 Karmic Luck Value from likely acting on behalf of the Heavenly Daos.

The venture was immensely rewarding in hindsight. That said, the most rewarding thing was seeing Su Mei in that gorgeous dress designed by Wei Xiaotian, enough to give any man enough motivation to return home from a bloody war. The image of her would forever be etched into his heart.

He spent two hours just appreciating her soul-etching beauty, sprinkled with topics of the Prime Ascendants’ development and competency of their respective duties, including the remaining objectives left within the Utmost Purity Galaxy, plotting their eventual travel to the Treasured Vale Galaxy’s Blessed Yri Continent.

One of these topics was about Young Master Shang’s circumstances. Earlier, he had been taken away by a shadowy figure within the Original Dawn Palace. It’s been a while since then. As it was in the middle of Wei Wuyin’s daring play upon the Utmost Purity Galaxy to etch his existence within it, it wasn’t a heavy priority despite the violation.

“So that was the All-Shrouding Dusk Sovereign?” Su Mei asked rhetorically. The All- Shrodung Dusk Sovereign of Shadow Veil had worked in tandem with Wei Wuyin earlier to direct the flow of events, suggesting the unthinkable implication of failure into the minds of the Zeniths, erupting their egos, and thereby allowing them, who believed they couldn’t lose, to play into his hands and accept his initial offer.

It was only a short statement and question, yet it had worked wonders in promoting a great ending for Wei Wuyin. This was a part of their deal earlier from acquiring their Mythical Contract. Like the Seers of the Night, Wei Wuyin hadn’t demanded financial compensation but a contract of three. It was an ancient sort of deal where the buying party accepted three requests.

This was invented to take advantage of Blessed during ancient times, a practice that Heavenly Seers and Oracles used to leverage the World or the Heavenly Daos in their favor indirectly, and has remained constantly used in today’s societal norms. Even in the Myriad Yore Continent, it was present.

Wei Wuyin still couldn’t help but find it wondrous how the Myriad Yore Continent’s traditions and underbelly of societal knowledge in regards to stories were so incredibly vast.

Among these three requests was the action of pushing positively for an Alchemic Clash in Wel Wuyin’s favor, with verbal acceptance of its occurrence, and to add a subtle implication of their potential defeat. Heavengazer Encompassing-Night’s Seers of the Night had been given a similar request.

The All-Shrouding Dusk Sovereign had completed this request perfectly, and the ending result was as ideal as Wei Wuyin could ever have imagined.

Su Mei remarked, “At least he’s alive. But will this affect our plans in the Blessed Yri Empire?”

Wei Wuyin chuckled at Su Mei’s insinuation, he shook his head. “Truthfully, the plans I had for the Treasured Vale Galaxy, and the Blessed Yri Empire, are constantly changing in terms of the process. The purpose, however, remains the same.”

Su Mei nodded. There was no way Wei Wuyin could have reasonably accounted for everything that happened in the Utmost Purity Galaxy, especially his own rate of growth, or the establishment of not a tiny force for some profit and exposure within the Utmost Purity Galaxy, but the integration of the Neo-Dawn Empire’s Alchemic Dao into the galactic society as a Zenith Tower.

Not only did he own land, but he was a Heavenly Saint Alchemist with rumored strength of a Resonant Soul Realm. Even if his vassals were made known to the Blessed Yri Empire, his personal strength would still be considerably lacking to have any substantial presence or strength. It would require delicate navigation within to not be the enemy of everyone since he was hell-bent on defying a prophecy.

However, all of that changed the moment his reputation and presumed strength rivaled a Supreme Sage. Even if he couldn’t genuinely fight against a Resonant Soul Realm cultivator in any capacity, just the identity of a Heavenly Saint Alchemist elevated his status to stupendous heights, rivaling to even exceeding the common Microheaven Envoy.

Su Mel sighed gently. “But they’ll be expecting you for sure. Should we subvert expectations and Void Portal there immediately?”

Wei Wuyin shook his head again, “There are still a few matters that I have to handle here. Also, there’s no certainty that they’ll be fully expecting me. After all, Young Master Shang was unable to accurately locate my exact circumstances, and with my strength growing stronger, including the concealments from the Seers of the Night, it’ll make it all the more difficult.”

“The All-Shrouding Dusk Sovereign is a member of Shang, no?” Su Mei inquired as if to argue that there’s no reason they wouldn’t know after Young Master Shang had fallen into her hands.

“To be exact, she’s his aunt—the younger sister of the Blessed Yri Empire’s Empress. According to Zhan Jiangwen’s memories, she has a rather complicated relationship with her sister and escaped the Blessed Yri Empire for a reason. And while this might suggest that she’ll inform the Empress, I don’t think she will” Wei Wuyin calmly stated his thoughts.

Su Mei’s brows furrowed in contemplation. After a few seconds, her eyes glittered with realization. “You think she’ll try to blackmail you?”

“I would,” Wei Wuyin answered with confidence.

Su Mei nodded, “What was the complicated reason?”

Wei Wuyin chuckled, his eyes glistening with juicy gossip. “From the rumors that both Enlightened Sage Springfield and Zhan Jiangwen knew about, especially the former who was surprisingly into obscure gossip, the Emperor of Blessed Yri sought to marry both sisters, breaking their age-old traditional limit. Despite his efforts, he was denied by the Empress. And this created a lot of problems for the empire. Haha.”

“The one Shang rule?” Su Mei mused lightly. Wei Wuyin was already dead-set on breaking that imperial rule with Shang Waning, that woman with a strange series of auras about her who also possessed a Dao Catalyst body that gathered the greedy desire of cultivators. The Shang women seemed to be plagued with special qualities, and Wei Wuyin was willingly throwing himself into the vortex of their fates.

She was aware of Su Yi’s warning regarding Shang Wanging. He was quite clear that a Cardinal Sage would struggle to handle the circumstances surrounding her, and they would be met with disastrous consequences of a deadly nature. And it wasn’t a threat, merely a genuine warning. Of course, despite knowing this, Su Mei wasn’t like the typical wife who would advise her husband to run from danger. If Wei Wuyin wanted to plow her into the bedsheets and turn her into a mess overwhelmed with ecstasy, then she would respect his choice and stand by his side against anything and everything.

The same as he had.

The way he always has for her.

She was only curious about how he intended to circumvent or abolish that rule before his Heavenly Saint Alchemist status. Then again, perhaps that was irrelevant, as his current status and strength might be enough to affect this tradition by the desire of the Shang Clan themselves.

Wei Wuyin could hear the curiosity in her tone, causing him to smile. He didn’t care for the one Shang rule when he heard of it back then nor the prophecy of ruin from the other Shang that he had met within the Nexus Battlefield. He was always someone who had plans, contingencies, layered contingencies, and escape routes.

With Young Master Shang with his aunt, likely being grilled, Su Mei asked: “Has she contacted you?”

“Not yet. There’s a chance he has kept quiet since then, and she’s unable to get anything out of him. If so, then he’s earned my respect.” Wei Wuyin thought of that heavy drinker of a young man and couldn’t help but have his already existing smile grow wider.

They continued to discuss other topics over the course of these two hours, and one of the topics was the next alchemical concoction session that he would have, and what products he would focus on. Unlike others, Wei Wuyin didn’t hide his abnormal speed of concoction from Su Mei. She and the older Ascendants were fully aware that Wei Wuyin provided the entirety of their products.

That gradually changed alongside the birth of the Hepta-Dawn Alchemic Corps as they began to provide products. Moreover, Ascendants were forbidden from consuming and refining impure products.

Wei Wuyin was rather vague with his next session. In the end, he kept it vague. He mentioned Yue Songli and felt that it was time. Just as he was about to send a transmission to alert her of his incoming arrival, Su Mei grabbed his hand.

“Wait,” Su Mei called out. Her eyes were pure, without selfishness, but also carried a glint of solemnity that was hard to hide.

“Hm?” Wel Wuyin’s level of curiosity skyrocketed.

“I think you shouldn’t…” Su Mei started speaking, but her voice trailed off. Not out of lack of confidence, but the reconsideration of her own opinion that she wished to express, and whether it should be voiced.

“When have you ever been indecisive?” Wei Wuyin warmly smiled, inviting her to speak out her opinion.

Su Mei gazed into his eyes, her voice clear and resonant: “You can’t form a union with Yue Songli yet.”

“…” Wei Wuyin was taken aback. He hadn’t expected this opinion. The desire to ask why lingered on his tongue, but he didn’t voice it. Su Mei had changed her opinion into a direct statement.

From shouldn’t to can’t.

“Okay.” He was always decisive when it came to Su Mei.

Su Mei continued staring unblinkingly into his eyes. Her features grew stern. But when Wei Wuyin didn’t follow up with any questions, her heart not only felt a level of warmth and emotional touch of unconditional trust she expected but had not experienced so clearly before. It caused her stern facial expression to bleed away into a smile that could rid the colors and light from the world, all gathering to her and only her.

“I can’t explain why. I just feel that you should wait,” Su Mei said without any evidence. “Okay.” Wei Wuyin said again.

Su Mei blinked, relaxed her posture, and looked down at her two hands, “It’s just…”

A strong hand slithered into hand, holding it gingerly. She lifted her gaze and found Wei Wuyin’s silver eyes looking back at her, gentle and understanding.

“Okay.”

Su Mei was unsure how to explain it, but she fully realized that she didn’t need to offer any explanation to this man of hers. In the end, she found herself leaning against him on their couch, enjoying the presence of each other’s breathing and heartbeats. Unbeknownst to either of them, in another path of time, a specific version of Wei Wuyin who had diverted slightly a few years ago brought Yue Songli into the Original Dawn Palace within the Utmost Purity Galaxy after finding great success in gathering elites to the party to expose her to greater heights and a myriad of cultures.

Their union was phenomenally extraordinary, celebrated by forces beyond observation. So incredible that the Supreme Existences’ gazes within the twenty-five lesser galaxies, six greater galaxies, and two restricted galaxies were all drawn over.

Avarice invaded every last one of those gazes!
